The atmosphere was good, but I prefer DS1's better, the grime and decay over the dark and decrepit. The lore was... eh. The best lore pieces were part of the DLCs, especially those expanding on the Iron King. The worst part imo, are the giant memories. They felt so poorly implemented they look shoehorned at the last moment so Vendrick's story made sense.Best thing about DS2 was Aldia, which was a better version of the Serpents.
