Cool character. And I liked her story, although I think it would have fit the tone of the game better if she died, as the general theme of both RDR games was that criminals can't fully escape their pasts through good deeds. Sadie starts as a capable frontierswoman and housewife, then becomes a mourning basketcase, then eventually recovers and goes full outlaw in the name of revenge. I think they avoid having her shoot cops and stuff so it makes sense that she escapes with a clean record at the end of the story, but she kills a fuckton of dudes in vigilante "justice", and I thought it would have been quite poignant to have the feds actually kill her instead of her being rescued.

And it's really annoying how RDR2 tried to whitewash Dutch's gang, like they were some noble rebels rather than straight up bandits. And I say 'tried,' because apparently Dutch is cool and ok as long as they only rob and physically harass innocent people, it's only killing innocents (who aren't cops) that 'crosses the line,' apparently. Pretty stupid.

He fits the gang super well, as Dutch's later gang in RDR is all indians, so Dutch clearly didn't mind picking up injun boys as henchmen, and Charles is a skilled survivalist useful to the gang. But Charles sticks out like a sore thumb and shouldn't have been able to get away from the Pinkertons without being ID'd as a black and indian mix. His storyline feels very have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too, as Charles is racially discriminated against and talks about this at length, but then also gets the best outcome despite living in a heavily racist and xenophobic society and being a career criminal. It would have been more impactful to have Charles get lynched for something small while an asshole like Micah or one of the others gets away while doing worse. Felt like they wanted to tell too many different stories with him.

Genuinely would've been a better written story arc for her if after Colm's death when she wants to go kill the remaining O'Driscolls with Arthur and you accept, she gets badly injured or maimed in the mission. That way her story's at least consistent with the rest of the game and can even narratively work towards being a cautionary tale against going back for the money later/chasing after Micah
