Wuchang if you care more about gameplay (and like soulslikes). Wuchang is super underrated, my only complaint is the lack of weapon variety. Great bosses, good combat, fantastic level design, unique the whole way through. Stellar Blade is an OK action game with good set pieces, but the combat and bosses were a big letdown. Both are worth a play but Wuchang is the better game by far

Stellar Blade has very shallow combat and boring semi open world. Suddenly you wander around Great Desert 1 and Great Desert 2 where mobs just patrol in squares. Game is OK when you don't do any sidequests and just treat it as a linear story. You can't combo, you can't juggle. You can parry and perform dodges with counterWuchang has much, much better combat system because there actual builds for your character + basic soulslike stuff

My main gripe with the game would be that the active skills are just far too strong and spammable, and the normal attacks nearly useless. Every useful skill makes you invulnerable one way or another, and you can spam them enough to be able to kill any boss without having to properly interact with them more than a few seconds. So the whole parry/dodge system kind of falls apart once you hit midgame. I hope they'll severely nerf all skills in the sequel.

>>737802715Haven't played Stellar Blade yet, even on sale it's too expensive for what it is plus denuvo, but I did get Wuchang some time ago and it is pretty damn nice. I would say a solid 7 or maybe more, which is a pretty damn good showing for their first (and now sadly, last) game.It's a shame there will never be a sequel or anything but I see the vision they had. It's rough in several places and the longsword is objectively the best weapon, to the point where using anything else (except maybe blademaster bandit blades) is just inferior. Some bosses are piss-easy, some are a huge spike. REALLY enjoy the atmosphere and music and I like that it's chinese mythology mixed with history, haven't played many games like that. The only problem with getting Wuchang is the studio is dead already, so you'd be paying just the publisher or IP owner, so might as well pirate.
