The characters are all fun and interesting and they could easily expand into more with different types of playstyles. I mean the game very well might be an "extraction shooter", but I don't really know why everyone are assuming it must be just because it's been a strong trend in gaming. There are lots of PvPvE alternatives beyond extraction shooters.
