It was a pretty big deal when it came out, I have a special feature gaming magazine for it somewhere.
>>
>>737823964
and yet it is forgotten....
>>
>>737823323
>physical manual tits out
>game censored
why
>>
>>737823323
I discovered it from TB back in the day and picked it up on GoG
>>
>>737824380
Because very few place will not put an 18+ rating on a game with female breasts displayed. Basically anywhere outside Europe.
>>
>>737823964
you always ruin these threads dude
>>
>Citizen Helmet
What did they mean by this?
>>
>>737825148
The long awaitd sequel to Citizen Cane
>>
>>737823323
This is actually a game I would like a remake of, if only to revive the multiplayer and put it on an engine that has mod support.

The creator of this and Armed and Dangerous tried to get a new game made a few years back and none showed up to support it, because noone even knows what these games are anymore and why they should be interested, which is sad.
>>
>>737824380
Not in Poland.
Also, it was so easy to remove the censorship to the point every gaming magazine was telling you how.
>remove arpfix.gzp from the bin folder
Done, Delphi has her tits out again.
>>
>>737823323
The game has a very good start, but the further you get into the story, the more it falls apart. Delphi's section is already wonky and unfocused as all hell (not to mention waaaaaay too easy, compared to the Mecc campaigns, because Delphi is busted) and the final Kabuto section is just the devs throwing their hands up in the air and going "fuck it, let's just end this game already".
>>
>>737824297
It's a PC game from thirty years ago and is older than most /v/ posters. You might as well post the cover of Rune, anon.

Rune was also pretty great.
Speaking of Rune - does anyone know/remember the game Resurrection: Return of the Black Dragon? It was a h&s very inspired by Rune, only more shit.
I swear I was the only one that played it, and I liked it as a kid, but I don't think it was a good game.
>>
>>737825742
i dread the racing sections on replays, if they were spread out it would be better but they're just one after another
>>
Does anyone remember the name of a game on the PS1, it had
>third person fixed camera perspective
>exploring some sort of castle or mansion
>dreamlike atmosphere
>i think hand to hand combat
i remember fuck all else about it, my dad rented it for me when i was like 8 years old
>>
>>737827035
Anon, that might be 90% of games on PS1.
Can you tell something more?
>>
>>737825742
I remember the jetpack sections having this brutal combination of 'long mission' mixed with 'easy to die' mixed with 'if you fuck up, you restart the whole thing.' I beat it, but god damn did it almost filter me as a kid.
>>
>>737827126
nah sorry, i think the story had something to do with you appearing in this place and needing to figure out why you're there but that might honestly just be because i had no idea what the story actually was when i played it
>>
>>737823323
One of the few big boxes I still have.
>>
>>737827150
The jetpack wasn't so bad. For me the final Mecc base building mission was a real pleb filter. Because it was looooooooooooong and if you fuck up at any time, you start the whole thing all over again. And that mission loved their one-hit-kill snipers.
So naturally, every next Delphi mission was a base building one. Thankfully, Delphi was more powerful than the Meccs, so shit was a bit easier.
>>
>>737827469
All I remember from this game is its excellent voice acting. IMO, it's right there with Legacy of Kain.
>>
>>737827494
It could just be that mission I'm thinking of, yeah.

I also remember trying, and failing, to play MDK as a kid. I went back and watched a let's play of it and god damn was that game hard. Cool, but hard.
>>
>>737823323
Maybe it was my internet, but most servers were barely playable and you were lucky if all spots were filled.

>>737827469
I replayed this game so many times and did lame singleplayer skirmishes with custom spell books
>>
>>737825107
No, zoomers just need to quit acting like every game from before they were born is some crazy hidden gem masterpiece. Over half the shit posted in these threads were in every gaming magazine I had growing up.
>>
>>737827817
Nah, it wasn't your internet. It just that nobody played this fucking game, because in 2001, barely anyone could run it, not to mention make it be stable enough to have a multiplayer much. Because this game had ridiculously high system requirements, but I don't think it looks as good as Sacrifice that was nowhere near as demanding.

It's not great it was considered mid at release. But you wouldn't know and didn't play it.

>zoomers thinking G:CK is some unknown gem.
It literally put bongs on the map for video game development well before Fable was even in its concept stages.
I remember it having a fairly early but janky mod scene too, jumpstarted no doubt by reaper nude skins.

And only two posts later my point is proven again.

>jumpstarted no doubt by reaper nude skins.
I am pretty sure Delphi was nude by default. Because "she has her tits out" was literally a part of the game's marketing, because it was 2001 and nudity and swearing were still a novelty.
>>
>>737828887
2000 but yeah i think I remember that too. The version I played Delphi was in a blue flesh-toned bikini, and I needed to download and edit some texture files to see t&a. It couldn't possibly be the american version added the swimsuut right? The brits are usually even more prudish about that kind of thing.

>It couldn't possibly be the american version added the swimsuut right?
It was absolutely the American version that added the swimsuit, because she was nude in the European version by default. And the "censorship" was so shoddily made, you could've disabled it by removing one file.
But I think she was perma-censored in the PS2 version of the game, becuse lol, Sony.

Oh yeah, I almost dropped the game there. Glad that I didn't.
>>737827469
Sacrifice is great is still fun to play, the only problem is that the UI doesn't look good on modern displays.

Absolutely not.
>>
>>737833393
I need to replay Sacrifice at some point. I wonder how it holds up, because last time I played it ca. 2003.
>>
>>737823323
i bought this at a game stop. i was looking to buy black and white but they didn't have it so i ended up buying this instead cause it also had some giant monster in it.
I never completed it though, there was one mission that filtered my like crazy. Gave up on it in the end
>>
>>737836118
I have a feeling I know exactly what mission you are talking about
>>
>>737824297
There is a community that still makes mods for it (or at least they did 1-2 years ago when I played it). It has a semi-active scene.
>>
>>737824380
Where do you live? In Germany? It is uncensored in the rest of Europe.
>>
>>737831370
>Overlord 3 never ever
Unbelievably fucking tragic.
>>
>>737828163
Yeah bro, that gigantic release title by RARE that Microsoft wanted to show off at every opportunity because it allowed them to put 500 mooks on the screen at the same time in order to show off the power of the 360 was totally an unheard of hidden masterpiece, and not a 5/10 that everyone heard of and then quickly forgot about.
>>
>>737827826
this, zoomers are retarded
