In the remake and these new games in general, you have inertia so it takes a bit to start and a bit to stop, so when the movement you need to use to reposition isn't always reliable, not to count the staggers and delays to do anything. Things should build on the achievements and work done by previous generations, not throw them away in exchange for pre-made assets and boated graphics. Imagine, just for a minute, that games did build on the past. That, after one game managed to get something working, it started to be adopted into other games as well. We could be living in a golden age where every game has the capacity for destructible environments, moving water, proper lighting and shadows, any other piece of TECHNOLOGY you can name.
