Is there any examples of pandering to the west resulting in a better product?Or is modern western culture so corrosive that every time the east tries to lean into it things are always made worse?

Then when they did their mid-dev reboot and wanted him to make an Isekai story he told them he wasn't availableAmy Hennig wasn't even there before the script was finalized. Yoshinobu Okushi had this as his narrative director debut and chose this direction. After that they focused tested and consulting firmed the narrative of that game into nothingness and was a pretty big example of why designing around consulting firms is a fucking disaster.
