>>737830825Yes, it's great.Start with 1, beat it on at least Hard before moving on. Don't use items for anything other than secret missions, they build bad habits. You can skip 2 since there is literally nothing in it that gets referenced ever again and playing it is a chore, but it can be interesting to see how the series evolved and I do suggest playing it for a couple minutes just so you can see what it's like. It does not get better. Then beat 3 as Dante and Vergil. Ignore the shitters who tell you to play with the style switching mod or the switch version with it, that ruins the balance and stops you from really learning each style. Then play 4 as all characters. Again, highly recommend replaying and beating 3 and 4 on at least hard and giving bloody palace a shot. DmC the reboot is optional, it's a jank UE3 game that has no real connection to the actual series. It has a laughably shit story that's occasionally entertaining and gameplay that's kind of neat for a while but falls apart fast. Check it out if you want. Technically at this point you should also check out the anime (no not the jeet shitflix show, the actual anime) but nobody really cares about it. Then play 5.For 1/2/3 the HD collection has a couple minor flaws but overall is the best way to play unless you're an insane purist. For 4, play the special edition. Most dlc for 4 is just time saver shit, except for the Lady/Trish costumes it's all unlockable in-game. There's a cheat code that undoes the changes from the original (mainly unlocking stuff faster) if you really want the purist experience but not worth it imo. If you want to play DmC play the console-exclusive "definitive edition" unless you really want to tear your hair out or mod the PC version to hell and back. For 5, the special edition is also console exclusive but you lose nothing aside from ray tracing and a meme difficulty. There's a load of dlc but most of it is again time saver shit save Vergil, the breakers, and the costumes.
