People say this but the only example I've ever seen is the fact that cheaters still exist. As if any security is pointless because someone can still break in. You can just look at CS as a counterexample where VAC is considered a joke compared to Valorant or a third party client with a kernel AC. People will literally use the fact that a high ranked player doing well doesn't have a Faceit account or is lower-ranked on Faceit as evidence they're cheating. Valve probably has some of the best programmers in the industry, their devs have some of the most freedom and money to throw at problems, they've tried numerous methods to curb cheating without using kernel ACs, and all of their solutions are still considered a joke in comparison.
