V sucked so much to me I haven't played it since ps3. I didn't even free roam or do anything after I beat the story i just sold the game. Its crap and im assuming 6 will be even worse

If you follow the trajectory of 3D GTA games, GTA vice city was an improvement upon 3, SA was an improvement upon vice city, then 4 was a radical departure. I liked 4 for what it is, but it's a gritty melodramatic cover shooter about criminals. 5 had this weird identity crisis, the tone of 4 was melodramitic satire whereas the tone of 3, SA + VC were all wacky parody. GTA V tried to be this weird hybrid of wacky parody and melodramatic satire and it felt really disjointed. It's all over the place, it goes from soap opera missions with michaels family to trever gunning down hipsters, then sometimes it's a mission ipossible movie where it's an action thriller. The gameplay from 5-4 wasn't significantly improved, they changed the feeling of the cars slightly but the on foot and shooting controls are as clunky and onerous as they've ever been.I don't think it's even possible for GTA 6 to be good, considering the trajectory of the series thus far and looking at other examples of rockstar series. I think it's going to be massively popular but how are they going to oneup GTA V, where you had the main characters taking on a paramilitary organization, the triads, the fbi and the cia then coming out on top by robbing the federal reserve. GTA V might have jumped the shark.I'll probably wait to see if 6 as terrible as RDR2 and if it is I'll skip it entirely.

Sure there were elements that were silly like certain characters or missions but the main plot was to be taken seriously enough to be engaging. 4 just had a more narrative focus with way longer mission cutscenes and a much more grittier tone with less jokes. 5 is the first game that went full on parody with the Trevorshit.

Even if they give it to me for free I'm not wasting my time on this shit. There's absolutely nothing that this series innovates anymore, it's the same old shit except worse because all the people with talent left. A big part of GTA was the radio too, but nobody listens to it anymore and record labels wants a bajillion dollars to use their music. This franchise is a relic of the past, but it'll still sell at least more than half the copies that GTAV did.

Most likely but it would be nice to see some more information about it or at least some real gameplay. I don't think Rockstar Games' secret squirrel act is all that cute. I was a few years late to play GTA4 (borrowed from a friend) and almost a decade late to play GTA5 (pirated).It's odd that I have zero hype for it, I loved the PS2 games. GTA5 was a good sandbox playground, I wont deny that it's fun but I have doubts whether I'd even bother to pirate GTA6 even years from now. I still haven't bothered with RDR2my prediction is that 6 will flop. Sales will be fine but the game is going to be panned. The "hype" seems more artificial each year and zoomers will have unmatchable standards given the wait.
