>>737856317Multiplayer sokobon puzzles that require multiple people to solve correctly, and can be solved incorrectly but will trap part of the party if done this way.

>>737856317Delete them. Fuck systems for subhuman pieces of shit.
>>737856317I think questing across the map in wow is already pretty good, not that I've played in yearsXIV badly needs yellow quests to give more XP
>>737856317Let me accept and turn in quests remotely, i dont care if it breaks setting, there fixed
For sandbox games. Make a framework for contracts between players.Player A needs X of Y item.Player B wants to get them for him.Player A "writes up" a contract (something like right click on player, hit give quest)Player B gets the details in a pop up window saying the deadline and reward.Player A cannot add/remove items to their inventory at this time.Player B has X time to accept/decline.When it is accepted, the reward is taken out of A's inventory and placed in some secure place, mechanics-wise it just disappears for now.If B completes the contract, he can either find player B and turn it in (same right click menu) or use a broker-like NPC that handles it. For when people are offline. The agreed reward is given to B, and A can get the items from the broker if B used that option. If at any time B decides not to do it, A gets the reward sent back to him instantly. There will probably need to be safety measures put in such as punishing repeat declines (after already accepting) to prevent trolling. Also some sort of mechanism to make sure it cant be gamed to gain massive XP.If the game has XP, an automated system can determine that section of the reward based on things like the area, items involved, how many, etc.

>>737856317theres nothing wrong with wows quest system, the only reason people complain about it now is because none of them have experienced soul crushing week long grinds for a single level in older gook and open world mmos. Any of those games would have been much better off with even half of vanilla wows quests to make the pure single mob grind less fucking dogshit and last maybe 4 days instead of 14 days.
no more mini maps, compass or way points
>>737858326That's 16 sentences, you lose.
>>737858442the only thing this stupid shit does is force people to have the games map open in a side monitor, its not good game design and it will never be good game design with the exception of single player games like might and magic and even then its only good in dungeons.
>>737858461and thats why the game industry as a whole went to shit. the suits want one sentence when the answer is more than that.
>>737858339>>737858326>>737856659All terrible ideas, you underestimate the amounf of third worlder spirit-ruiners that play MMOS not to have fun or be immersed, but to find the next ESL monkey-mine to rule-break, spam, and immediately try to start clans / fast track to RWTMMOS need to make participation optional not required. too many gamers either lay it with the wiki open or play it to make enough money to pay their favela rent to trust them with anythign remotely close to what you're suggesting
Every player is given an npc companion that gives them quests and the reward is always sex or something sex adjacent.
>>737858562That's why the devs should enforce strict roleplaying rules
>>737856317copy/iterate upon OSRS
>>737858562>shit on esls>make esl tier fucking postwhat the fuck does "make participation optional not required" even mean retardare you saying that everything should be group activities, or are you advocating for essentially a single player mmo where you may interact with someone maybe.
>>737856317I enjoy both nu and vanilla wow gameplay.problem with wow is its linear progression and all new content invalidating old content
>>737858695The main core gameplay loop should be assumed that you will be alone or in a small party most times. Raiding and dungeons are antithetical to what makes MMOs good. Non-combat activities should be rewarded more. Player-crafted gear should be on-par with if not better than drop loot. Essentially you SHOULD be able to play it alone, but having more people should just enhance the experience. I like the way PoE does it, where you can see other players and interact with them, and trade, but you don't ever need to get a 6-group to run pinnacle endgame content for instance. No content should be gated behind needing other people because other people are nothing more than obstacles in my personal path to enlightenment. Do you see the world through other people's eyes? Do you think through other people's brains? Stop giving a fuck about "parties" and "teammates" and "roles" and realize the game could be designed to where you can one man band the shit if you so desire, without having to multibox.
>>737856317Make quests actually feel like a quest.
>>737858947>the main core of an mmorpg, a game genera designed around forcing autistic fucks to interact with someone else should be alone. You don't want an mmorpg then, you want to go play warframe or path of chinks. the design philosophy your advocating for is what mmorpg companies have been going towards for years now and it fucking sucks, no one likes it and all it does is ruin the genera.
