Story rich video games usually put gameplay on the backburner so its like you are playing a glorified visual novel with subpar mechanics shoehorned in between walls of text or lengthy cinematics.I'd gonna go out on a limb here and say that 95% of games that focus the story are inferior to books, movies and even tv shows (that are known to bloat their stories so they can stretch seasons).Like what the fuck is the point? You dont need to see everything animated if you have good imagination. Its enough to see the characters, the setting, and you can fill in the blanks yourself by reading the lore.
