The annoying thing about the doormaker is not how difficult it is but that it is a hard counter when before that there were none, eliminating lean decks as a possible archetype. In sts1 the blue bird punished power decks by hitting harder and time eater punished combos by capping them, but you there was leeway. Doormaker hard counters and says fuck you do it the way devs intended. Lean decks are already massively disadvantaged thanks to events that forces you to take cards, the increase in status and the inflated costs of removals, so why punish them further with something they cannot escape at all? It feels like the devs are overcompensating for the fuckup the watcher was. I dont mean to make 2 cards infinite to come back, I mean to punish so severely something that is fun and happens rarely.
