Team Ladybug is very good at what they do, and it was a ton of fun playing a game that heavily based around stopping time without feeling like you were just too OP for the game to work.

I also liked the game really tries to test your control of all game mechanics, like WHEN stopping time.

My favorite Team Ladybug game. Record of Lodoss War and Blade Chimera were both fine but each one was slightly worse than the game before it.

I mean yeah, structurally it’s simple, but I don’t think that was ever the point. The map gating is basic on paper, the depth comes from how the time-stop reshapes combat and platforming. Half the “keys” are basically skill checks for how well you can route time stops + knife placement without eating shit.

Deedlit has more traditional MV progression and gear fluff, sure, but it also just turns into elemental stance micromanagement by the end. Luna Nights feels tighter and more focused to me. It doesn’t overstay its welcome.

Blade Chimera sucking though? On that we can agree.
