Finished reading of the Devil, it's a pretty cool VN. Episode 2 is great even though it doesn't have as much Serra as ep 1, also pretty funny how for being a woke game, episode 2 ends with a mother and father together with their son. Can't wait for episode 3.
ugly ass art
>>737886037>also pretty funny how for being a woke game,Is it really? From what I've played the game seems to be taking jabs at and exploring a lot of viewpoints or ideologies. Like in that EP1 extra scene with the coroner that got memed here. On one hand with the way tech has advanced body modification is now easily achievable for all budgets, which probably helped facilitate the separation between physical sex and social perception of gender. (troon theory) But on the other hand it wasn't exactly liberating or for the good of people. The client in episode 0 had to wait months with a literal phantom pain arm, failures and leakage are regular occurrences with companies being corrupt and not paying people back if not outright scamming. Let's not forget the rust niggers who can target you at any moment if you're a poorfag living in the lower wards. The writing in of the devil feels above idpol so far, which is a good thing. Morgan is clearly anti-state, Emma is the opposite. We see people like Reyes who are pro-police and it makes sense from her POV but her ideology is often challenged. London being corrupt is very realistic too in that regard, old and jaded and shares the "I'm just a cog in the machine, I'm not really part of the problem" feeling that is common among gen Z
>>737886583Maybe it's because of how I had seen /v/ talk about the game before playing since people were saying that "omg everyone is a lesbian" but the only one you see is Han. >feeling that is common among gen ZThe bit with gen z/alpha being old people is pretty funny, the old blueblood lady going "you think you know PC, my generation invented PC" was great as well.
I have no face and I must killleave pissbreak to me
>the extra scene with the gangsters playing the rpg card gameworst MC of all time award
>>737886037I think the game is pretty nuanced actually. EP1 was all about how the rich and 1% were cruel people who only thought about their bottom line, capitalism le bad. EP2 was focused on neobility, hypocrisy with etiquette and what used to be a criminal cartel so they're not exactly paragons of virtue, but they're still human and capable of doing good for others at no benefit which Morgan didn't understand. Even the old lady from the Bluebloods wasn't against the possibility of reuiniting as a family.I don't think there's any character in the game that can be truly called innocent or good other than Serra or Farah, and in the former's case it's because she's not even human in the first place.
we missed out on bratty loli robot judge
