If you have a tube going to the CPU then you have an AIO liquid cooler, and that might be the problem since they have a limited service life before the liquid inside evaporates. If it's an old liquid cooler then it makes sense that you had issues with overheating. You should also clean out as much dust as you can.If it's an air cooler and you still overheat after cleaning out the dust then you should clean off the old thermal paste and apply a new layer.
