Minecraft and Tetris are reasonable if by 'true masterpiece' he means game series that span generations and are rarely thought of in a truly negative light. Mario mostly makes sense but only in a meta way in that he permeates every major nintendo game, no particular mario game I think deserves the title of masterpiece. Pokemon could maybe count under the multi-generational thing but there's a pretty small window in time where they're considered genuinely good. The rest are nonsense. Elden Ring/Dark Souls are way more niche than this soulstard realizes and have none of the conventional qualities that would qualify as a masterpiece. Legend of Zelda is effectively a dead series, even including botw and totk. Final Fantasy 7 is also another weird niche one he's deluded himself into thinking is truly popular. People generally don't like RPGs and the fact the actually popular remake dumped turn based gameplay in the genre known for it proves it.Under this idea of popularity over time combined with a base level of uniqueness and quality I'd say the truest true masterpiece in all gaming is RobloxKids have been playing that shit for decades now and while the quality wavers extremely it has consistently had a massive playerbase who can look fondly back on their particular experience with it
