I'm amazed at how Blizzard botched this game. I legit thought this would have been the next Team Fortress 2 back in 2016. What the fuck happened?

>>737918414it's in an alright state now I think, though I do wish they'd make 6v6 the primary gamemode. 5v5 as a tank can be fun when you aren't eating 1 million CC and displacement abilities, but when that's happening you're basically just hanging out while you wait for your DPS flank to get a pick.

I was a canned MMO that was thrown together as a pvp game by devs who only did it with the promise of being able to make it pve, which got completely canned when the kike took over and did the dei gay replacement of the team with the fake metoo slop
>>737918414it had so much cultural momentum for those first two years, but blizzard's leadership at the time (and to an extent still now) are not fans of anything other than quarterly money reports making le green line go up, so it became increasingly bad for said reports to be dumping the same amount of money or more into a game that was already doing decently. it ended up being increasingly weighed down by tacked-on playable characters that either destroyed the meta, were useless, or eclipsed the roles of other playable characters. this game needed a passionate director with significantly more creative control than was ever given to jeff kaplan, but as came out a few months ago, he was not given that control and just told to make the game generate money in a given quarter. they lost a cultural monolith in exchange for quarterly earnings being okay for 2 years.

The best shooting in FPS and everything else sucks. The matchmaking is very strange, the way the maps work you can get 90% of the way there with no issue then just stall out and lose (or the opposite). Very frustrating. There is not a better game if you just want to click heads, but you can't take it seriously.
