It's a "so good, it's bad" kind of game. Makes a good graphics benchmark with the updates though.

The gameplay is very simplistic, and is actually the worst part of the witcher. If you're not enjoying the characters, setting, lore, storylines, and music, then you're not gonna like it. It's like Nier in that regard, or it's like reading a book. You kind of fantasize about other things while you're playing, and that's part of the enjoyment.
