look it's been a hard year, there are more pressing issues for me in my life personally right now, and yeah I like video games as a bit of escapism, but GTA 6 has somehow crossed a threshold where it is sort of symptomatic of the outstanding societal issues out there (real life) that I'm trying to escape in here (vidya gaems) and, honestly, now?

I have lots of great video games already, I'm playing Mafia 2 right now, which I never played before - it's every bit as new to me as GTA 6 is going to be, I didn't have to wait my whole adult life for it to release and I can finish it up in a couple of weeks and come back to fuck around at my leisure

GTA 6 is just going to be another game and honestly there are thousands of games and they didn't ask this of us so I think I'll play those while I'm dealing with everything else because they actually respect their customers time and money

A current era GTA is just going to be depressing nowadays. We really need another one set in a certain time period. I would’ve loved to have seen a real 1930s/1940s set GTA game. You know something with the setting and cars like LA Noire and the Mafia games had but obviously as a fully fledged GTA title.
