I always thought as a kid that Soma was born in 1999, which would have made him the same age as me. But after replaying Dawn of Sorrow a few years ago, I realized it was actually those two random villains who were born in 99 instead.

Fine, I'm going to rant on /v/. The way people go on about CV lore is fucking insane to me. Ive been playing the series since the NES days and could never give a single shit about the lore. Then again I guess that netflix series got people interested recently, but the story has always been such a tacked-on turd of an afterthought in the games.I get that they painted themselves into a corner by putting Dracula in the fucking title and also didnt really try until years in, but I'm still shocked that anybody even feigns interest. The Dracula shit is just so played out at this point. Though Lords of Shadow managed to have a somewhat interesting story going for it despite how derivative it was.I've always just been into it for the gothic aesthetics, music and atmosphere. Though the gameplay actually becoming decent along the was a huge plus as well
