What type of gamer are you?
I am the type of gamer that is tired of seeing this copy pasted thread.
>>737988330What a waste of time.
The racist kind
>>737988330me after I sell you a mouldy sandwich >its actually an exciting sandwich if you cut if in triangles, you are the reason you dont like it
>>737988330You can't do this while you're playing and progressing. I had ideas for stuff like this during my playthrough but I continously got cucked by the lack of charge. So I just did the first clip
>>737988330I'm more of a cinematic character focused third person action game enjoyer, we need to be better men
>>737988330holy menu slop
>>737988565It's actually menukino
>spend 25 minutes building a car>go into a shrine>car is goneShit game, the building mechanics were cool but the fact that there's zero persistence makes it worthless, as a result the only good strategy is to make a hoverscooter and abuse the game.
>>737988515These are just cutscenes you can't skip or ignore.
I genuinely don't understand what this webm is trying to convey.the person on the left isn't enjoying the game, the person on the right is, and?
>>737988594goty
>>737988330nice self serve fun you got there
>>737988594I'm just glad crimson desert delivered on everything this shitheap tries to do.The entire weapon system is probably the worst garbage I've ever seen in my life.
>>737988330>50 seconds vs twice that longThe game actually punishes you for trying to have fun, insane.
>>737988330>is this going to be annoying and waste to much time/too many resources? yes: make a hoverbike.>no? strap him to some bullshit, he's going to space.these factors are usually decided by your environment. (underworld/overworld)
>>737988706The extra time was spent entirely on making the vehicle. Had that been saved as a blueprint or been in use beforehand then it would have been faster.
>>737988876Yeah but then he would have just slapped down a hoverbike instead of actually building, or "having fun" as the kids are calling it.
>>737988953Can you even carry a Korok with the hoverbike?
I never played BotW. I got Tears of the Kingdom on my Switch Lite on a whim and really struggled to find out why the game was so well liked. Played for like 20 hours without ever doing a temple, just found some towers and did shrines.I sort of started having fun towards the end of when I stopped when I did the water temple but I gave my Switch to my cousinGenshin Impact was more fun than Tears if I'm being honest.
>>737988983Tri-fan layout yes.I usually just use a single rocket + glider + controls for those fuckers anyway it's rarely far.Templates honestly completely ruin any semblance of building fun in this game, the dogshit building system doesn't help much either, but it's necessary because everything despawns constantly and you aren't allowed to get attached to your creations.
>>73798909390% of these are not even me. Guess I got a cult following
>>737989062>you aren't allowed to get attached to your creationsblueprints nigger
>>737989131yeah, a cult following of the ones who shit in the streets and then use their phone to post garbage on the internet
>>737989062I feel like there should have been a battery-like resource for creating parts from blueprints instead of taking up whatever that rock was. That way you could recreate specific parts freely without having to dip into consumables or whatever's around. Heck, it could have been the battery itself, reducing your maximum charge for as long as those pieces exist.
>>737989141I just said... read my rant nigger.Blueprints ruin the experience because you're just making and discarding hoverbikes, why would you make a 24 piece car which uses 100 resources every time when you can use 9.
>>737988594Legitimate question, at what point did Nintendo forget how to make menus?Echoes of Wisdom and Mario Kart World have this exact same problem that could easily be sorted with categories.>Open Fuse menu>icons for explode, burn, freeze, water, electrify and misc (no effect) items>Second afterwards that has you able to quick sort between last obtained, most/least available, and alphabeticalSurely at some point during testing the devs would have gone>hmmm there's a lot of items in this game, maybe we need a more efficient sorting system given fusion is one of the main gimmicks of the game
>>737989425This game is just "let the player do whatever they want" to the worst extreme. I'm not shooting a wheel at this enemy why is everything attachable to the fucking arrow.
>>737989093>reaction images, on MY /v/?
>>737988876>Game is supposed to get you to experiment>Just slap down your blueprintIf the game wanted you to just use hoverbikes, it would drop hoverbikes.>>737989425"Designed by committee games" and "indefinitely stalled open world slop" all finalize their menus in the last 10 minutes of development and work with shit placeholders until then, so not only is there not enough time to fully develop a menu, but the devs are used to how shit it is.
>>737988624ToTK has a sandbox/make your own solutions approach. It gives you a lot of tools to solve one problem in basically infinite different ways and expects the player to make their own fun. This is good for one kind of player and bad for others. /v/ just always assumes the position of the worse option because they enjoy being the least charitable.
>>737990657A game that fails to recursively teach the player to play the game in a way that is fun has failed as a videogame.Playing this game in a way that is fun comes with the unfun barrier of needing to put with more poorly designed menus, so most people will follow the path of least resistance.I never used the Octo balloons in BotW for anything, because the menu interface for them was so shit, I can't imagine it being any better if you multiply that complexity a dozen times. It's not only incredibly charitable to assume that people will do more than just walk in a straight line without implicit guidance, but it's unrealistic to expect anything else, it's like expecting a class of children to just start quietly learning without a teacher or structure.
>>737990657i see, thank you
>>737988330The type that doesn't play rehashed slop
>>737988624I don't think either person in the webm is enjoying the game.
