I finally played the NG4 DLC. The new weapons are great, especially the big scythe. I didn't like fighting Seere much. Really it's more levels for NG4, so it's good.

It was written by Bingo Morihashi aka the writer who wrote all the games except DMC1. He wanted to expand the world and canon by showing Dante's daily life as a demon hunter, exploring the city that he lives in and the lives of its residents in the process. Dante acts emo because he lost his mother, father, and brother (the ED hints at it by showing him sitting alone in his agency after work hours, looking really sad, drinking whiskey, and thinking about people that are in his life, like Patty, Lady, and Trish). I think they wanted to explain why he was so down in DMC2, but then DMC4 happened (a game that went through development hell and had many story rewrites according to Bingo himself). I agree with you that the action scenes suck compared to the games, but that's because Capcom didn't want to give Madhouse a proper budget.I have no idea what you're on about when you say that the anime had no Lady or Trish. Both of them appear in the anime and have a decent amount of screentime and have pure gold moments in all the best episodes. Vergil isn't in the anime because it takes place after DMC1, shortly after he exploded on Mallet Island.

played Homura Hime recently. Pretty good, some solid combat fundamentals, excellent bosses. If there's a major problem its that the game is too easy - parry window is generous and you can spam it over and over, there's some pretty broken equipable charms and skills (you could ignore charms but its not like you can ignore skills, the moveset doesn't have a Stinger equivalent without skills). Game really could use a higher difficultly level or two.

Use short combos that kill instead of long, flashy combos. Dual Katana is BROKEN in Sigma. 360+Y is a boss killer especially when it's stacked with Flame Wheels. Dual Katana also has the shortest combo path to Izuna Drop with XYXY.

I was playing DMC V for the first time on DH mode and I was finding it really easy, it was actually bothering me. I’m pretty average at games, so if I think something is easy, it’s probably really easy. But after Mission 8 it got better. In Missions 13 and 14 I had to use one Gold Orb to revive, and in the final boss of Mission 15 and 16 I had to use two lol. So it’s much better now, too bad there are only four missions left to finish.

The AI in Sigma and Black are the same. White soldier dudes will try to grab you if you block their first hit in both games. What's different is enemy balance. In Black, Berserkers can guard break you with their normal hits. In Sigma, you can block and counter them. Sigma is an easier game than Black because of the rebalanced enemies, more save points, Dual Katana being ridiculous, Grips of Murder and accessories and the Dabilahro being acquired much earlier in Sigma MNM than in Black (GOM+ADH+Dabilahro is OP to the point where Dabilahro but the AI isn't that different between games. However, Sigma Chapter 1 on MNM is harder than Black Chapter 1 on MNM because you don't get the Lunar staff early. But the rest of MNM in Sigma is easier once you get access to Muramasa's shop.
>>738080870I really like dmc1 and after dmc3 it's my most replayed by far due to being able to finish the game in 90 minutes with cutscene skipping, but literally every enemy except shadows is best dealt with DT inferno or DT helm breaker 1-3 times (and shadows are just DT gunshots into DT stinger - skipping the stingers if you can do the spike jump without getting fucked over by the games lockon), and you only actually use the rest of your kit vs the bosses aka the only thing they increased the HP of on DMD. if you need DT you just double taunt or grenade gun a few times and it's nearly full againcompare this to DMD in dmc5 where even if 95% of the enemies can be juggled, outside of the designated shitter enemy because gravity increases the longer you combo something you can't just literally do the same string of moves together unless you do something that's going to take forever to kill 1 guy like only using gunshots (because enemies get buffed HP on DMD, unlike dmc1), and then all the enemies the game actually wants you to fight seriously require you to parry or otherwise hit them with some specific move to put them into a state where you can actually combo them (like dmc1) and enemy DT gives many of them further reistance to just mashing launchers (unlike dmc1 where you just counter DT and enemy DT no longer exists).watch a no faust BP speedrun as dante in this game and you'll see he barely juggles at all, it's all about using moves on or near the ground that leave you way more vulnrable exacrtly like how DMC1 is played because that shit does way more damage then juggling. the games play the same only you can do more stuff and the game can load more then 1 enemy on screen at a time

Shadows for example are weak to guns like you said, and especially weak if you land on their spike. DMC5 is fun and I'm glad they made a sequel to DMC4 at all, let alone one that maintains a lot of what made that game fun. It still feels like way too many enemies are handled in the same way and you have tons of easy nukes so a harder enemy is just one you SDT on.
