truly awful attack
You can interrupt it 100% of the time with a charge attack or fable art

is this game for parrygods or is it dodgeslop?
>>738012350You can play it both ways and there are ways to spec into itbut there are red attacks which is harder to dodgePlaying "optimally" means both dodging and parrying
>>738012350parrygod game
>>738010607perfection grindstone goes brrrr
>>738010607I got this nigga first try, I don't even remember his attacks.
>>738012350You can dodgeslop it but the game heavily rewards parrying by contributing to the bosses stagger bar There are some attacks that if you parry will knock you back miles
>>738010607They need to keep making games. Make a Alice in Wonderland theme or Wizard of Oz.
>>738014513They're working on it
>>738013602The real problem with this firefowl dance is that there's multiple ways to deal with it but to practice any of them you have to fight through the King every single time who can randomly decide to be annoying as fuck and force the camera up your asshole with his move where he moves forward flailing his arms. Maybe if the arena was bigger I wouldn't hate it so much. And of course if you didn't have to fight one after the other then I wouldn't be annoyed by the King as well
>>738016239I don't think the king is much of a challenge but he does kind of whistle you down before the real fight so before you near perfect him you're attempting Romeo with no potions
>>738017096No I don't find him hard necessarily, just annoying. Cus like sometimes you kill him really easy and then other times he'll spam these huge AOE attacks instead of a variety of moves and you're just sitting there waiting and getting frustrated. You're absolutely right about him just wearing you out before Romeo
>>738017217I like him because a lot of his moves actually incentivize moving out of the way instead of mashing parry but the early part of his fight is real repetitive
Romeo is significantly easier if you just dodge right and around him and play more aggressively

I purchased this game a year ago. Three days ago I tried it for the first time and the game just doesn't fucking click.
I beat this game a while ago and I loved most of it except swamp monster.Should I get the DLC and replay it? Is the DLC good? Any fun str weapons in it?
>>738019864Yes, yes, and yes. There's a cool double pinwheel weapon that starts to spin the more you hit dudes.
>>738012350Aggressigods. Never be afraid of the boss or their attacks, never let them put you on the backfoot.
this game make sekiro look easy
>>738019864the dlc is better than the main game i think. the first boss is kinda dogshit cause ur fighting the camera angle but rest is really good.>>738018098yeah i was stuck on romeo for a while cause i only ever parried then i tried dodging and the fight got almost way too easy. a lot of fights in this game is really trivialized by using dodge so i kinda prefer not dodging unless i have to.
>>7380123503/5 parry, 2/5 dodgeBoth are viable, but parrying feels better and is more intuitive for how it plays
>>738019402>Three days ago I tried it for the first time and the game just doesn't fucking click. That's fair, not like every game will be a perfect fit. Too bad you're wayyy outside of any return window, tho.
>>738010607that fight took me like 50 tries, and the time i got he just didn't use that attack at all for some reason
>>738023594Yeah. My mistake. Should've tried immediately. C'est la vie. The setting/worldbuilding is cool as fuck, though, and story, (still in the beginning) is quite intriguing. Maybe I'll just watch a summary on YouTube and write it off.
>>738019864>Should I get the DLC and replay it? Yes, the DLC is great and replaying the game automatically translates all of the weird Puppet language in each puppet boss, so you get cool additional inside tidbits you didn't get on the first run>Is the DLC good? Most definitely. Just more of the same.
