Turning on DLSS annihilated my 3090's performance at 1440p until I realized I was being stupid since I was already running the game at native. So I cranked it back to "Ultra Performance" (since it can't be disabled if you have Path Tracing on) and the performance impact gauge dropped to almost nothing and I give up no visual fidelity (since it wasn't doing jack shit anyway). Weirdly the "Auto" DLSS setting insists on turning on DLAA, which is the most process-intensive spec.I do need FSR, though. I think the game does drop frames with everything else maxed if I just let the frames render manually.

how hard is lunatic? I feel like with the upgrades and items from unknown signal it shouldn't be too bad

>>738047608You can only play on lunatic by starting a fresh save so the solar plant can be somewhat annoying. You do get access to the lim cannon and jackhammer from the get go but they aren't much of a help before you dump some upgrades into them. Once you get to the recycling control in MPA you can start farming lunafilament with the cannon if you need it to power level your stuff. Once you get to the terra dome it's not that bad.

It's predictable and uninteresting. "Dude if child sad, that's bad and sad" yeah no shit, but that's not particularly interesting writing.
>>738047608It's really not so bad, it's only an increase in damage and HP on the enemies, but the bosses are also way more aggressive. I just reached the Central Port in Lunatic, haven't upgraded Hugh's armor at all and I have only died two times, one against SectorGuard and the other in the Red Gate close to Lunadigger. I'm kind of tempted to use Cursed, but I don't want to overdo it.
