FPS games used to hurt my head.

There's no helping you, you're a genetic failure.
>>
maybe you should stick to something less stimulating like tiddlywinks

I had to do exposure therapy. There's a free game on Steam called Aircar where you just fly a car around a cyberpunk city, and it made me sick to death every time I played it. But I made myself play it a little bit every day, and gradually I was able to play it for longer and longer periods of time until the motion sickness went away entirely.

Ginger water/juice helps a lot with vertigo. Try that for now. Other than that you will get used to it eventually if you keep playing. I had pretty bad nausea and vertigo from locomotion when I played Boneworks with no prior VR experience, but I got used to it after around 5 hours of gameplay, and ginger really does help.

I've never used VR before but I'm considering purchasing a Steam Frame.
is there any way to tell if you're one of the losers that gets sick before you actually try using VR?

Play games with no movements (teleport is ok) for a while so your brain can get used to the stereo 3d effect.
Moss, Fisherman's Tale. Those kind of games.
