There should be only the two analog sticks, one for each thumb. The other buttons are controlled by my index fingers on the back

Wii U Pro Controller supremacy
That thing doesn't run out of battery, I love it.

Layout so bad nintendo walked back on it at the first opportunity.

I dont give a fuck about nintend-shit, I just think its the superior layout. symatry without thumb kissing. would love an xbox clicky controller but with symetrical upper analogs.

dots are the superior form of communication.

this is the actual correct answer.

wii u pro controller layout was the unconstested best layout possible for claw grip gamers because each analog stick typically only has one function each (movement and camera) so you could use your index fingers to use the sticks and keep your thumbs precisely pressing the buttons you wanted. nothing has ever come close to it

Because it runs at 100hz or some shit with loose timings.

this is the most comfortable design I agree, but claw gripping is less precise on it

I like this.

people who play sega devices have a higher likelyhood to not get into heaven.

I can't get any kind of proper precision trying to fondle the sticks with my index fingers so the WiiU controller is literally the worst controller I've ever used. Trying to play Cowadooty on that thing was impossible.

does it work?

I think the earlier prototype versions would have probably been better.
The 'A' button and the stick just feel so awkward to use when holding the controller normally, because the grip tries to dig into my hand. By contrast all of the buttons on the prototype seem easily reachable.
I get that it was probably a compromise to deal with how unspeakably shit controller bindings had become by the mid-2010s due to Xinput and low-effort ports, but it was still a bad compromise and the stick is basically useless unless you want to hold the controller in a way where everything else feels bad to use.
The faux d-pad is also hilariously pointless when compared to more accurately delineating different zones on the pad.

>>738014102
very compelling, but the wiiu controller having no outward tilt isn't compatible with my lard ass.

I still can't get over the fact they chose to call it WiiU, like what the fuck were they thinking? Why not go call it WiiN or WiiW to sound cool, instead of WiiU where it sounds like it stinks.
