Do you ever pay full price for video games?
When it's worth it.
>>738017637yes, $0 isn't very much, I can afford it.
>>738017637I paid full price for FF7 Rebirth when it came out on PC last year because I was at Shinra HQ in the first one and was going to go straight into it. Still haven't finished the first one.
>>738017637Nope.The fact that games launch buggy and unfinished, even in the indie dev sphere, means I have to wait a couple months anyway for the game to be done.
>>738017637Even at 95% it depends on the dev if I buy or not. If it's an indie dev and I don't see them say anything retarded online I'll buy.
>>738017637even a $1 game is too expensive
>>738017637Not typically. I paid full price for Battlefield 6 and got reminded why I never pay full price or buy on day one.
>>738017637Yeah for physical games, so nowadays only Nintendo for the Switch 2I don't buy game-key cards
>>738017637when it comes to games i enjoyed, i will buy the sequel day one. for example I enjoyed Nioh 2 a lot after getting the collection for $20, so I bought Nioh 3 on release (it's worse than Nioh 2)when it comes to studios i like, i will buy their new game day one, but it has to be an honest new game. Let's use FromSoftware as an example, a studio which is responsible for at least 2 very good games (demon's souls and bloodborne):>honest new gameelden ring>dishonest new gamenightreignaside from that, no considerations are need for anything that's $20 or below, it's literally $20
>>738017637Only Nintendo games, because they never drop in price.
>>738017637I buy games that just release on discount from fanaticalAt this point I almost never actually pay the full price and use the discount to get the deluxe/good goy edition for the same price as standard
poorfag thread
>>738018768At least we have a thread you retarded whiteboyGo on, show us your richfag thread, I'm waiting
>>738018768I don't think calling criminals poor is a good way to stop them from committing crimes
>>738017637Rarely, basically never if it's a full price game. I might sometimes throw down full value on something that's under $30 and looks good to me though. Beyond Citadel is full priced at $15 right now and I might get it for instance. But typically I wait for a sale, just that this game is only like $3 less on sale so fuck it.
>>738017637Only games I actually want to support.
>>738017637if I want to play a game "right now" then I buy it. anything else I pick it up on sale and get to it when my backlog allows. The exception to this are single player games I know will get DLC within a year and which I will never come back to, in which case I wait for all the DLC to come out before buying it, which incidentally means I always get those games on sale (tomb raider and RE are some of my recent worst offenders)
>>738017637No, because I've been betrayed too many times. I fucking pre-ordered Dragon's Dogma 2. That was the final straw for me.
>>738020190that doesn't count since anyone would do the same considering dd:da is one of the best games of all time
>>738017637The last time I bought any game at full price was in like 2000. So no.
Bought most of my games on saleThe rest are from occasional giveaways from GOG and SteamI only paid full for switch games
>>738017637I paid full price for CYAN BRAIN.I liked it so much I gifted it to one of the guys I had on my steam friend list that had the game on wishlist.
>>738017637Paying full price for anything is for suckers.
>>738017637Only if the dev says something based
