I'm playing through 1 right now for the first time in like 20 years.Definitely enjoying it, currently on Floor 8 of Crossbone Island. One thing that has really bugged me is all the end-game gear being hidden behind rng monster drops.I've gotten like 3 of the same item, but none of the others I'm looking for, even killing with the appropriate djinn type.
DD is an upgrade over GS1, you're just mad that it isn't even better than TLA.

They'd be better off if they pretended it never happened, but the fact it ended on a massive cliffhanger puts them in an extremely stupid position where if they'd ever make a new golden sun, they would have to continue the dumb ass story they started with 3. Their best course of action would be to retcon 3 by pretending it was all a dream or some bullshit.

>>738022650It has some fun dungeons but the story feels like the first act of a typical JRPG stretched over an entire game. As other anons have said the story ends very abruptly and on a cliffhanger. The battles system is fine and more or less the same as Golden Sun but stretched over 8 party members, most of which don't have enough time to establish their character. I think it was a good base for a sequel but without another game it's just a disappointment.
