Now that they hit the bottom, how can they turn things around?
>>
Bring back Mana Khemia
Bring back time limits to Atelier
Bring back flat protagonists
Put Kishida Mel back in Atelier's art direction
Kill off Blue Shitfection for good
Maybe make Sophie 3
>>
>>738028556
>MORE sequels
ok very nice look forward to atelier ryza XIII
>>
>>738029075
I'll allow it if we get Totori 2.

Just bring back time limits and make the girls cute again
>>
aren't they owned by Koei Tecmo and isn't that a publicly traded company? they're never bringing back time limits if so, because you can only increase revenue compared to the previous quarter by pandering to an increasingly casual audience, or by chasing whales. and they've already made 2 failed gacha games for the franchise, no?
>>
>>738028401
More bikinis
>>
>>738028556
As good as Mana Khemia was, both games sold awfully because they weren't what people wanted from Atelier. Bringing it back wouldn't turn anything around unfortunately.

Gust has continuously gotten worse every year since after Sophie 1 and especially since after Ryza 1. There's plenty of devs that I simply don't care about but Gust is probably the only one that I actually "hate". The KT acquisition and Ryza permanently fucked them up, you can't give a niche dev that kind of money without completely screwing them up. If they wanted to attempt to get me to ever care about them again, I'd need to see a 100% flat loli protag but that alone might not still be enough. I'd really want something more like TotoMimi again but that's fully impossible.

I feel like they simply couldn't gather the resources to produce games on modern gen consoles. Not that the ps2 era games were lookers or anything but they at least functioned fairly well. I don't think I've played a single game from Mysterious onwards that hasn't had some kind of killer jank in zones or ugly assets thrown in your face.
I suppose a good start would be rereleasing more of the old games? Maybe in a better format than whatever the fuck that Marie reboot was supposed to be. I've never actually had the chance to play Mana Khemia and the only Iris game I've played is 2. I'm sure there's a lot to enjoy from the ps1 games or with the Carrot hoe's game.

>Reduce the budgets of their games
>Bring Atelier back to its roots
>Hire someone who knows how to balance an RPG
>Shift some focus to new or neglected IPs
>Uncensor Blue Reflection Quartet

>>738029602
That is related to one of the issues they're facing right now. Their games are selling as good or better than ever, but the production times and costs have been increasing sharply, so they're desperately searching for ways to appeal to a wider audience.

>>738030171
They have pretty steadily gone from a developer I watched closely to one I don't give a shit about.
>>
>>738028401
Night of Azure 3.
>>
>>738030171
Blue Refleciton 3 but they make it more magical girly precure-esque but still with the same yuri level, trust the vision

The biggest trvke that I haven't seen brought up in years. What's the point if you remove half of the gameplay (time and resource management)
>>
>>738031765
I think sophie caused them to shift away from timelimitfaggotry and towards puzzlefaggotry, where the other half of the game is playing the puzzle of the alchemy crafting system rather than managing time and resources.

I haven't actually played the dusk games though so maybe one of them started it.
>>
Time limits are for niggers
Just make alchemy even more complicated and autistic
Keep the open world if you really have to
Also keep the storylines about cute girls doing cute things and not furries practising eugenics or whatever the fuck Yumia was doing
>>
>>738028401
Bring back Akiko Shikata
>>
>>738032180
Alchemy tetris is perfect.
I wish there was a time killing mobile game solely based on that aspect of the mysterious saga
>>
>>738028401
they already dead to me since ArTonelico 3. I even buy a fat PS3 back then just to play it.
>>
Ar Tonelico is their only good IP where did all that creativity go
>>
>>738030994
This is the only one I want. Yuri-overtones + comfy grind was surprisingly effective
>>
>>738033558
Well AT was never really their IP.
>>
>>738028401
Atelier Ayesha 2
>>
All the other stuff aside, what happened to their games having a bunch of great vocalBGM tracks? Ayesha/E&L/Shallie all had great ones.
>>
>>738036627
It's been a while since a Gust game had a lot of good tracks. This is the only track post-Mysterious that I like.

Every JRPG dev is in the middle of serious decline.
Just port old games to modern systems.

New EXA_PICO franchise game.

>>738028556
i just want another song magic game but it's been so long that it'd suck probably. the creator would be embarrassed by now and cuck out to avoid criticism. take me back to 2009 please
>>

They made the Nosurge to continue in that universe while owning it though, even if it meant they couldn't directly depict the time era of Ar Tonelico. Ar Nosurge was good but noting since, though.
