RF Frontier is probably the best looking one and it's also very fun. I think the reason why we never had something looking on the level of RFF or oceans is cause all the talent is gone due to bankruptcy. So instead of looking more unique with its anime style they're gonna just follow the visual trend of genshin impact or something similar as their budget allows. In Tides, it's all tied to what monsters you have tamed, even down to what seeds get planted and where. It's very dungeon focused, the world is like Windwaker in the fact that it's mostly ocean with some islands. There aren't any portraits, they're all models. And the characters themselves have less content. I think it's like ~35 minutes of unique dialogue per bachelorette.

There's so much more depth to a relatively shitty dorkge series like Rune Factory than there is in most mainline farming sims to the point it's embarrassing...Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons drip feeds you with maybe five events per character if you're lucky? Everything is locked behind multiple years of waiting and fancy crops and milk is only there to make niche equipment upgrades. Meanwhile I load up RF3 or 4 and there's some stupid line of dialogue that makes me smile every single day. You can explore, you can gift and actually get different reactions, there's the RPG mechanics, giant crops, quests. There's so much soul!! What's stopping other farming sims like those mainline ones or Fields of Mysteria from raising their standards to our level?
I wish Azuma was as replayable as RF4, also not nearly enough events, we really needed more dialogue

I have a question for any Azuma players, is it worth going for Kaguya? I haven't played it yet, but I was really into Meg in 4, and Kaguya gives me sort of similar vibes from what I've seen, and she's also by far the cutest (to me). I did see that she's only available after the main campaign, which reminds me of Nia from Sandrock, who was particularly disappointing since it didn't seem like there was much left to do by the time she's unlocked.
