>>738052003>glowing reviews>good gameplay>from famous developers>flopsWhat went so horribly wrong?
>>738052190>>738052003Why does this game bother everybody so much?
>>738052190Really goes to show how hard it is for GAAS to make it and how stupid Sony was for developing so many of them.
Tendies win again. Imagine my shock
>>738052190>What went so horribly wrong? The average gamer is really bad at videogames. This is why every fps that comes out today has such aggressive autoaim where they can press a single button and instantly nuke someone else.Marathon does not have that button, nor does it have MMR. It is the least average gamer friendly title from a large developer in a very long time.
Nintendo
Why is there a new thread? Did he get felted that hard in the previous one? Man the 8th is going to be one for the books
Fuck Shitendo
>>738052190>>good gameplayThat's true, the combat is great. The game is punishing, you have to work near perfectly as a team, or be stealthy and unpredictable solo. Most players can't do that, people need skill based matchmaking, because most of them are not nerds. They're not good at video games.
>>738052625Because of what it means behind the scenes>Sony bought Bungie for $3.6 BILLION that's more than Disney paid for Star Wars. Sony didn't get Halo out of it(Bungies only decent IP) they instead got Bungies "expertise" with live service games.>Bungie were one of the sides responsible for pushing Sony to not just support but outright BUY Firewalk while they made Concord>They also shut down projects that Snoys actually had hope for like TLOU Factions by telling ND they weren't prepared for it(as an aside, how odd that TLOU was ALSO an extraction thing like Marathon ended up being. I'm sure EVERYTHING'S above board there)>Art theft situationPut simply, Sony have burned $4b+ dollars aquring and supporting Bungie and only been burned by them. The fact their big game that was meant to set records that they essentially bought Bungie for is dead as a door nail.People are naturally pissed at both Bungie's fuck ups AND Sony's fuck ups.No one wanted this.
He's asking his discord friends for pictures again I see

>>738052190>>from famous developersBungie pissed everyone off who weren't Destiny fans. But Destiny fans don't want Bungie to make something new either because they feel abandoned. Turns out that going so turbo hard into one thing that needs to be contentiously maintained and baby-sat, can be bad actually. Besides. The entire genre is super saturated. Actually. All of competitive gaming is kind of saturated. By being a competitive game you've essentially already cut off most gamers. Your casuals are out, and half of the 'hardcore'(regularly playing a multitude of games every month every year) are also out. The competitive audiences might be very dedicated. I'm not saying you can't still make successful competitive games. You absolutely can. But the competition for competitive games is surely much more intense. Competitive gamers aren't exactly starved for choice. And this is ignoring how intense the competition can be within particular genres of competitive games in general.
>>738060273So probably don't make a hardcore/competitive experience into a live service experience.
>>738050753>29/30so close
