Maybe it was expected in a way, and the story was getting completely ridiculous by that point, but it still hit hard. I did like the first game more overall and they changed the look of the main characters for the worse between games, but I was pleasantly surprised by the two games. It might have something to do with the dark setting because the second is set in Southern France and on the Mediterranean, so it has a different feel. It is quite a bit longer, and the gameplay is similar but Amicia is a bit stronger. And like I said, they randomly changed the look of a few characters which was a little jarring, but it was worth playing for sure.Spoiler check
