The Japanese name for Evercold is 白銀の探求者(ワンダラー) or Wanderer of the Silver, the Japanese name for DT is 黄金の遺産 translated as the Gilded Legacy or Golden Legacy. I believe they are following the Vedic cycle for the new "Arc" with DT being the "Golden Age" or Satya Yuga, Evercold being the "Silver Age" or Treta Yuga and 9.0 and 10.0 being respectively Dvapara Yuga and the Kali Yuga (Bronze and Iron Age). If I'm not wrong when it comes to my hypothesis, this seems to indicate that they might be planning either a new "true rebirth" of the game like ARR for 10.0, or just making a new FF MMO (unlikely).
