>There are still console warriors in the year of our lord 2026Literally how. Like I could understand 30 years ago when consoles actually had games, but now it's just arguing over who's three 7/10s exclusives are better
It's wild reading the comments on Digital Foundry videos and still seeing people fighting the good fight.>The reflections are slightly sharper on the PS5 version! Xbox BTFO
At this point it's just sunk cost. They've got the console and it'd be hundreds of dollars to jump ship, not even accounting for all the digital purchases locked to their accounts on said console.
>>738085609>t. snoy still ass hurt that the Xgod 360 had better performance than the shitstation3You lost.
>>738085609Console really don't make sense in an era where all modern systems are basically the same architecturally and devs for the most part realized it's most profitable to just release their games on everything. The seventh gen was really the last relevant console war, things like the unique controller scheme of the Wiimote or the CELL architecture on the PS3 justified their exclusives.
>>738086832At least exclusives had the architecture excuse back in the day, now its completely artificial "please buy our console shit".Exclusives are anti-consumer and always were.
>>738085609It's full on mental illness. I'm not saying that as a joke, genuinely I don't have any other explanation for it. It's just psychotic behavior. They religiously follow charts looking for a 0.1% advantage in some random metric that nobody gives a shit about. And then everyone they disagree with has to be Barry or Eric or Nathan or Lewis or Harry or William or whatever other tulpa lives in their heads.I would understand having the regular type of mentally ill delusions, that would be one thing, but doing all that in defense of a company? A company that makes video game consoles, which have become irrelevant ages ago? That has to be a tough hand to be dealt in life. Very sad all around.
>but now it's just arguing over who's three 7/10s exclusives are betterIt's actually just tendies (including the tards in charge of this board) screaming in denial that they're not in the same shitboat as everyone else. With maybe an ounce of wiggle room for unironic microsoft shills shrieking that there's a viable alternative to windows these days.
>>738086832consoles ae stat and playno settings, no annoying softwee updatesit just wokspc is fo modding, simulatos, fps, emulatosI like my xbox moe than my pc
>>738086535>They've got the console and it'd be hundreds of dollars to jump ship, not even accounting for all the digital purchases locked to their accounts on said console. These same people have been engaging in console wars for more than a decade. If you paid these motherfuckers minimum wage for their shitposting hours they would have made their money back ten times over.
Modern console wars are so soulless. Back in the day you were fucking ride or die with the console you picked, it defined your whole taste. Nowadays kids can just play FF7 on their Nintendo, they dont know the struggle
>>738086952>always wereConsole wars aside this is simply not true and I have no idea who started this retarded argument. Excusives wouldn't have been made without the pressure of trying to sell the hardware. Nobody would have financed those games. You know what is really anti consumer? The homogenized slop devs turned every new game into because it needs to run on every current and future platform. No unique customization for the hardware, no radical new ideas, no risk taking.
>>738085609Only Nintendo still has exclusives tho lmao
>there are still PC autists in the year of our lord 2026
is there some psychological study about the money spend threshold someone has to be over to start "defending" that brand?
>>738088315>Excusives wouldn't have been made without the pressure of trying to sell the hardware. Nobody would have financed those gamesWrong, there used to be a time when gaming hardware was so different that multiplat games were often not feasible. Back in the day you often had different studios working on completely different versions of the same game because it was simply easier to just make two different games than trying to port an existing game to new hardware. The Nintendo Wii was basically the last time this happened before hardware got standardized and "got enough" to get ports everywhere
