The problem was that the game had zero budget and the ones people would have loved like Crash or Spyro were super expensive to get.Sony should have supported the game more if they wanted it to be successful, or try again with a sequel that improves on the gameplay and other things.

Subspace Emissary is nice for one playthrough, but it is held back by the game's physics and how most characters just don't feel good to play.People shit on Melee all the time but in that game the characters felt like they had weight and force behind their movement and attacks. You had to commit and it felt good to do so. Even 64 and Ultimate do this better than Brawl.
