Mewgenics is a much less accessible game. Brainlets bounced off of it. With Isaac, you can turn off your brain and play on heuristics alone. You can just draft a broken run by manipulating the game. But you can't guarantee you'll do well on any given run in Mewgenics. You'll get bad rolls on events, you'll get bad rolls on your level ups, and there's very little you can do to hedge against either, except for breeding cats with higher luck and innate rerolls. And neither solves the problem completely.
You have to embrace fighting your way through a bad outcome if you want to enjoy Mewgenics, which isn't what most Isaac players want. Most Isaac mods exist just to break the game even more, and make winning more frequent.

Luck is a stat you can manipulate in your favor, but you can't rule it out completely. Isaac was supposed to be a game about picking up items you didn't know anything about, getting a bad or weird one, and figuring out a way to play around it. But after enough exposure, everyone knows what everything does and how they interact. You don't get that Oh Shit moment anymore as players optimize the fun and challenge out of the game. Mewgenics is made to ensure that never quite stops happening. You're not doomed just because you got one bad roll on an event. You just need to strategize around it.

The detonator and the stopwatch are A+ tier items.

It feels like careful positioning of your cats to constantly edge the enemies by staying out of their attack range after every attack is completely undermined since the enemy can and will just walk up towards you anyways since they can cover the entire map in just one turn.

Once you learn and remember all the interactions (or look them up beforehand), the rest of it comes down to grinding out your numbers to beat the enemy numbers.
I've already beaten the game, but I don't have much motivation to grind out and finish it 100% because its just not very fun most of the time.

Finally had a run where one of my cats just got malaria in the first event and honestly it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. Since the cat ends up downed it doesn't eat your level ups, so isn't it essentially just a 3-cat run with upsides?

Had a run with healing aura on my cleric + full medic set, pop the +2hp regen consumable and every cat got +10 health every round, practically unkillable

I've noticed a very interesting interaction with the butterfly knife and Unrestricted. It re-checks for Unrestricted on each individual swing, so once you reach ~15 luck, you can go pseudo infinite as long as you don't get exceptionally unlucky. Could go insane with Weapon Proficiency. Killed Mother from full health in one turn with only 16 luck. Not sure if this is representative or if I just got unreasonably lucky.

The game rolled all psychics so I decided to try a mono-class run.
With the Glass Cannon, I don't have to move to damage things, and one of the cats rolled Braingeyser, which I doubled up with Skill Split and put his CHA to the negatives with Fish Necklace. Two of my other cats rolled Mind Meld, so the end result is me winning battles on Turn 1 cuz one cat just vomits progressively stronger sparkles up to 3 times a round.
Throbbing Domain isn't even a concern, cuz Stem Cats can't divide faster than my sparkle volley.

The problem with the General rule is that pretty much every thread for a game is a "general: good" and they only become "general: bad" at a Mods' whims.
So long as the people in a thread are talking about the game, it's characters and story, and whatever else is related around it and not ERPing, ritual posting, or talking about twitter drama, it should be fair game no matter how long people want to talk about a game. The retarded part of all this is when Jannies get so personally assblasted by a game that it becomes completely impossible to have a thread about it no matter how long it's been.
Some CP spammer that kept targeting Touhou threads pissed off the mods on here so much that Touhou threads now get deleted on sight, and because of some retard there was nowhere where I could talk about the actual game part of Touhou 20 at launch. (/jp/ is mostly idolshit these days)
