No

The only platform on there that deserves support is android and that's barely, given what Google's doing
All the others deserve to go extinct and valve shouldn't validate their proprietary shit

Good
Your custom is literally worthless to valve if you want to use it for things they don't want it used for

Also, do they plan on upstreaming their driver to the mainline kernel?

But you're the one that wants to conform
Move to Linux or be the treated like the second class consoomer goycattle you are

The underlying controller functionality that activates when higher functions have stopped. Think of it similar to lizard brain.

Just admit that you're on other platforms because of your goycattle inertia and not a conscious choice

Why spend so much on a controller when 99% of games play better with KB+M?

Honestly, the only reason I don't use linux is because it sucks for what I primarily use my computer for.

It plain sucks for audio production/mixing, both the hardware and software isn't supported properly making it a PITA to get anything done.
>>
>>738121454
>I'd choose linux if it was viable
I use to be like you, then I realised linux only becomes viable when you actually fucking use it.

It might be true that you can't use your exact current work flow or exact tools on linux (but you probably can), but I can almost guarantee you can do the work with other tools and work flows.

The sooner you abandon the jeetware the better mate, it's only going to get worse and christ almighty 10/11 is already pretty fucking bad.

Grab an extra SSD, throw a linux distro on it and start figuring out how to do what you need to do on linux before your livelihood is completely at the mercy of street shitter bloatware.

I'm tempted but I don't want to spend that much on a controller without trying it first.
Also idk what I'd really use it for, most games I prefer keyboard and the stuff I use controllers for is mostly old console games that wouldn't really benefit from stuff like the trackpad.
>>
>>738121681
>>738121853
I'd rather stick with what werks, it's not like I need to update nor migrate to anything any time soon. My last workstation lasted me 10 years with minimal changes, and is usually ran offline. I don't need to update to the newest winblows version. I'll try linux again at some point, maybe tinker with the idea once in a blue moon, but as of right now it objectively fucking sucks for what I do. You'd have to selectively choose the exact compatible hardware to make it even viable, and even then you can expect to do regular troubleshooting rather than creating.
>>
>>738121904
That's goycattle inertia
>>
>>738120909
No. I play KB+M and already have a decent controller for the few times I would use a pad
>>
>>738122056
Or you could play kbm games on sc with no drawbacks, or arguably better in some cases.
>>
>>738121904
>I'd rather stick with what werks
Windows no longer just werks mate. Everyone who uses it professionally knows that, even those just using it normally know that, which is why everyone from the creative industries to giant companies to entire governments are moving away from it.

>My last workstation lasted me 10 years with minimal changes
Not the way Windows works anymore and certainly not moving forward. Not even LTSC works like that anymore.

>I don't need to update to the newest winblows version.
Again not the way windows works anymore, they will force dependency for something onto their latest OS, most likely through mandatory security upgrades and the likes. You will be forced to update and upgrade constantly and subjected to shitty borked updates.

This notion that windows is more dependable from a creative or commercial standpoint is a completely false economy, productivity for windows machines is terrible. Quit making excuses and ween yourself off of that dogshit, the sooner you do the better off you'll be, or have fun with Windows 11's kernel level AI DMCA'ing your own audio work.

Then fuck knows why we're even having this discussion which is about the best path forward, if you're just sitting around on old air gapped machines you have no horse in this race mate.

Anyone running currently supported software will become reliant on specific windows updates and effectively gate kept behind those updates which you will be forced to go online to get and that will be a constant cycle.

I run 50+ air gapped machines, I know what running windows offline at scale looks like and what hindoows 10//11 does to force compliance with it's "service" all too fucking well.

You're making excuses and quite frankly if you're running ancient, air gapped machines with old software, that's even more of a reason to be using linux, not less.

Gonna laugh my ass off when jeets delete your work and bork your OS with an update. Windows is literally the last OS anyone who values reliability, consistency, performance and system control uses.

are you retarded?
even as a winjeet you can add everything to steam
the only reason you wouldn't want one is if you're a consolecuck or if you have a valve derangement syndrome and get upset over having to add games to steam
>>
>>738124239
The first thing you do before things like these is go on the internet and see what people are using, and figure out that nobody, not here, not there, not anywhere, uses ubuntu studio.
Often linux users get this "but you always recommend different distros and it's too overwhelming, choice paralysis" but there really are like maybe 4 or 5 recommendations and everything outside of that is "you're on your own" because you really haven't done enough research. It's the LTT issue, where the faggot goes "well you see, I'm gonna try this thing that hasn't been popular in years, people actually dislike, and it's in a transitioning process of sorts where it's not really all that stable to use, instead of what everyone's telling me to use, and if it doesn't work, linux doesn't work"
>>
>>738124487
>Ok, let's see the alternative.
Same battery
TMR sticks
2 more buttons than steam controller
better ergonomics
near 100g lighter because no retarded trackpads that are basically only for console gamers navigating big picture mode on the couch
Should have better latency
Doesn't need Steam running
Doesn't need any software to be running in the background for the controller to work at all
Compatible with android
Compatible with Xbox
Has mechanical switches for pad and triggers (the steam crap does not)
It's depending on your region anywhere between $10 to $20 cheaper than Steam controller
>>

arch, cachy, and ubuntu studio are genuinely the 3 top recs right now for audio work
