Gta5 removed regular fucking crouching. Basically all previous games had crouching anywhere...i tried playing that, saw no crouching. Instant disgust. Do NOT remove simple af features from your games in later instalments, its subhuman behavior.

Xcom 2, i put down an evac before hitting an objective for speedy escape. Doing the objective made the ship move to another point because the game is scripted to land THERE after objective is complete. Absolute "because video game" logic in worst way. Instantly dropped it. Do NOT have scripting that both fucks the player and ruins immersion

Doom eternal. Tried playing in,a friend's computer, hes giddy as shit to show me. Try punching out zombie, 40 punches in, die. Figure it's some tutorial bs where only pistol works, try later, get 60 in, nothing. Stupid cunts made punch do 1 damage all because blood punch and worrying players would waste it, so they made normal punch as effective as slapping enemies with your cock. DO NOT make something else completely fucking broken because you can't design a better fucking solution.

Anytime crafting is added into a game without a second thought over if it makes sense for that game or not. Bonus points if the armor and weapons are weaker than shit you find in the world itself or if there are only three or so actual good items you can make out of all the recipes.

something that pissed me off with that game was that the timer seemed completely arbitrary
the description would be something like "the aliens will delete the data when they discover us" but the timer would continue to count down even before you revealed your troops.
Another one was the fact that completing the objective, and then calling for evac without killing everything, was treated as a mission failure. Why? that's completely backwards

Metroid Prime is "open world" but it's excellently paced and everything feels intentional in its linearity. Compare that to the new Zeldas which just fill the world with some interesting PoIs and tell you to go make the fun yourself

There's nothing inherently bad with it, but the problem is they always make the world way larger than the amount of hand-crafted content they have to fill it with. This was at its worst in the 2000s when they would literally market a game by saying it had a huge 15 km2 map, but it was all just empty, pointless, procedurally-generated terrain. As a result of this they typically end as repetitive icon-hunting simulators. You climb the equivalent ubitower, you unveil part of the map with a bunch of icons for the same five or six copypasted activities, you go around greying out all the icons, then move to the next ubitower and do it all over again.
