Classic literature is a nebulous term. What exactly do you mean by that? The Greek/Roman classics? Then the equivalent would mean Wizardry, Ultima etc., the foundation on which modern gaming was built upon.
Do you mean the equivalent of the 'Western Canon'? Then you'd have games like Deus Ex, System Shock etc.
