It may or may become an issue in the future, but I don't want to order and wait for discs, I don't have the space to store them, and I don't want to keep switching discs back and forth just to play games.

You have to either get a PS+ subscription and upload the saves to the cloud, or make a backup of the entire system (intended to be used for moving between console units.) Although I would personally never get an Xbox and don't trust that they'll pull themselves up by the bootstraps at this point, I'm slightly wary of what's going to happen if Sony ends up completely unchallenged in the premium console market.
