I like the big, slow, punchy ones that really feel like they weigh 900 tons
Japanese mechs that fly around and do karate just seem kind of redundant in a mechanical sense.

I really like the ones from Sakura Wars. They are cute. And I've not played the games, but from what I've seen they don't seem to go as retardly full-on ninja as some mechas do. It's either those, or something more heavy and realistic.

I dont know if its true but the Wiki says Gypsy Danger is 79.25 meters tall.

If mechs could exist IRL I imagine they would be like this. Slow, clunky, unwieldy and every step of it would feel like an earthquake. Plus you don't have to be inside of this to pilot it.
