Part of actually making a boss is making it so the player has to survive every attack they have to actually beat the boss fight. I don't think I've ever played a game where an enemy will specifically use a move because I fucked up avoiding it recently.

I had tons of fun with hard bosses like Arlecchino, consort Radhan, Dark Dragon, Fatalis, Primordial Malzeno, etc... but the moment the boss starts just spamming the same move on repeat that's just lazy game design
