You can pick any archetype enablers (aka basic cards that deal damage to yourself, burning pact, true grit, dominate, Tremble) but if you have payoff for one type you don't go for payoffs of another type>breakthrough, bloodletting, bloodwall, inferno are all good early cards>if you have any of those cards in your deck and you see rupture there's no reason not to go for it and solve scaling issue, now you just need multihit to use that strength and draw>you picked Ashen Strike very early>now every exhaust is premium because you solved scaling and more you exhaust faster you scale>if you picked Dominate you now really prioritize vuln application and there's no reason to go for exhaust cards like feel no pain or Dark Embrace.For example on Necro you can put End of Days into any deck to kill AoE but you're not going to add Pact's End or Howl into any deck that doesn't exhaust enough

Somehow, I didn't run into a single Pillar in this run but the relics helped a lot. Regalite is basically just a ghetto Pillar that is Imbued. Instict'd Make It So and Crash Landing were so fucking amazing, Celestial Might still a bit sad unfortunately. It really needs Cannon / Lighter for the extra oomf as an expensive Attack.

Self-damage from my experience isn't consistent enough to take into the endgame without auxiliary support. Dominate is a very very strong card but in the boss gauntlet it opens up risks of draw dependency which can be extremely risky. For Vulnerable stacking you need to draw your killing solutions fast or risk draw order dependent blocking using Colossus (even with multiple copies). It is extremely dangerous against Test Subject especially. Same for Exhaust. You can risk drawing the wrong cards at the wrong turn.This is why I firmly believe Block Clad is the best primary "archetype" on Ironclad. It is extremely consistent because it provides the most survivability which lets you mitigate / circumvent any risks of draw order dependency for Str gains / killing.Ashen Strike being a one-card damage solve for Doormaker is pretty funny though.
