>Nah, I don't thank healers>As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their fuckin' job
Based
>>738142784the world doesnt improve the more assholes you add
>>738142784as a healer, if you thank me i will call you gay
>>738142784third world behavior, not saying thank you to somebody who helps you.
>>738142898Positive reinforcement for doing the absolute bare minimum isn't improving the world, either. If anything it's lowering the standard for what is acceptable.
>>738142980You're welcome for the boss kill, retard.
>>738142898>class is named healer>it heals and has no other role>UMM, YOUR PLEASE+THANK YOU+TIP?!?lol
>>738142980Wanna take a guess whether or not the healers thank me for being the DPS after the boss is down?
>>738143069>create scenario where nobody helpedok retard.
>>738142980and you thanked your tank for taking your hits?>noand your dps for being the only reason you won?>nowell then shut the fuck up
>>738143005Fucking based. IPs held up by manchildren are the best example.
>>738143141the point is that it's stupid to thank a healer for healing, but not a tank for tanking or a dps for dpsing. everybody helped in that situation.
People don't talk enough about how miserable running through a dungeon with shitty DPS feels. A shitty healer is never fun, but sometimes it's all you have and they're generally trying, but shit DPS makes every encounter a sudden endurance test.
>>738143218no shit that's why your fabricated scenario is retarded.if you're fighting some shit in the open world and somebody nearby tosses you a heal so you don't die or you don't have to stop to recover your hp, and you don't at least acknowledge them with a /wave, you are the problem with my country.
>>738143141Just do your job and leave the group once we're done sharing the rewards, autismo. Nobody owes you more than you owe them for equally participating in the scenario.
the only time its ok to thank a healer is if they top you up or save you from dying in the open world, but that goes for any role that save you
>be healer>purposefully prioritize healing the people who are niceNothing personal OP
>>738142784I don't thank the healer unless they spend their downtime doing dps which most of them do not
>Be healer>Control the means of who lives and who dies. How can you not see MMOs are communism sims?
>>738143134Ohh boy tanks and healers want to be fellated 24/7 for doing their fucking job but they don't know what a DPS does until DPS isn't there.
>>738143282you're a team, fucktardwhy do you think it goes one way and only one way, like the healer has an option to not heal? it's a role, you're playing your fuckin part, he's not obliged to heal you, his ONLY job is healing you
>>738143478A tank not tanking controls who lives or dies, same with dps.
>>738142784I dont think about you at all.
mmos are a team effort, one side playing like shit brings everyone else down.
>>738143145Tanks are important but DPS are almost never actually needed in pve gamesMaybe like 0.01 percent of content will have an enrage mechanic that tank and healer can't do alone
>>738143512retard.
>>738143005Picking DPS is the bare minimum thoughever.
>>738143701Some of the earliest FF14 content relies on DPS to a degree and that's seen as as relatively baby tier MMO. Breaking members out of Titan's gaols, burning Ifrit's nail so the following attack doesn't wipe the party to name some off the top of my head. And in actual difficult MMO's your healer is going to run out of mana if you don't have DPS well enough.
>Why have i stopped attacking?>because i didn't hear any thanks (:Every role just embrace it until everyone has auto-typer binds in their rotations.
>>738142784Thank your healer.Thank your translator.PAY VOICE ACTORS WHAT THEY ARE FUCKING WORTH!
>>738142784>Actually thanking people implies I owe them anything, I prefer not to continue the rabbic cycle of debtors and debtees.
I prefer my healers to smite thine enemies.
I play tank so I can larp as a die with your shield or on it Spartan and never retreat. If the DPS aggros too early by accident, that's no problem, I'll take it. If the healer dies, not my problem, I'll use my off heal. If I engaged a boss before your cooldowns were ready, not my problem.
Not thanking your healer is like not tipping your barber
