When I reached the point where I needed the 6 key items for the true ending, none of them spawned across several runs, and then all spawned sequentially. It reeked of the developer padding out the game by stopping them from spawning.

I will give you my opinion as a white non Indian who can play games without needing to masturbate to the protagonist at all times.

It's ok. If you are curious what a AAA roguelike looks like this is it. I have friends so coop was great. The only issue I had was how people exaggerated how hard the game is. It is not. When you upgrade enough weapons it trivializes the content and I feel like the game has some pity mechanics because I will have god runs often with the best RNG powerups where you can run through the entire game easily.

Story is pretty fucked up. Twist in the middle was really cool made me feel like I was watching old school TNG or something.

Worth no more than $20 which is what I will pay for Saaros eventually

Gameplay starts being pretty fun after act one when it becomes more of a bullet hell. The bosses that shoot a lot of shit are very fun.
until then its rather boring, and depending on your skill getting to act 2 might take longer than you're willing to put into the game.
Runs take too long, and there is very little variety between them, which is about the worst thing you could do with a roguelike. Lot of big useless rooms that just waste your time. Same rooms every run with the same small handful of enemies and the same small handful of weapons.
Vast majority of power ups are uninteresting and provide no difference in playstyle
To combat the lack of difference in play style they introduce malfunctions and malignancy on everything, but since the positive effects are often so minute its usually just not worth it to pick shit up.
Story is completely at odds with the gameplay, fast paced arcade shit and then it stops everything so the old lady can have dementia for a bit. And its so annoying to be forced to go through some fucking stupid ass sequence where you're forced to wander through the house slowly in first person, only for it to tease what has been fucking painfully obvious from the start. They beat you over the head with the "twist" and since it's so obvious its even more insulting to sit through the story set pieces.
Dont care if the MC is an old lady, but she feels completely out of place with the blatantly video gamey design of the world and levels, maybe intentional, but I find it hard to take it seriously when the setting feels so "cheap".
The tower is probably a better game mode than the main game just cause its skips most of the bullshit but then you lose out in boss variety.
Controls are serviceable but still feel "off" in some way i cant quite articulate.

I remember pirating it and then uninstalling after around 30 min. It was def not for me and i don't care as much about how the protagonist looks. It was just not fun at all for me but at least i tried.

Fun action roguelite. The schizo sequencesand house horror bits were great. Seeing the logs get corrupted over time and the rest of the world degrade/change was neat. Never finished it but I enjoyed the few dozen hours I played.

It has moments of horror better than actual horror games.
