Would be cool if there was online ranking.
You just match up with the next player that queues and it's not fun stomping on scrubs

One of my favorite games of all time. Grinding is extremely fun when you know how to do it right.

can you cure your autism bro

What do people think of this collection?
Never really played Yu-Gi-Oh! but I'm curious. Not curious enough to pull the trigger at 50% off though, so maybe it's just not for me at all.
Still, is it an interesting starting point or should I just wait the chance at a Forbidden memories port cause that seems to be the one everyone loves.

I'm a huge YGO nerd, it's my favorite franchise in general. I really like the collection because they translated some japanese only games that had never gotten translations before and I could experience YGO history. Had a ton of fun especially playing through DM1-4 and seeing how the mechanics evolved, but objectively these games did not age well and wouldn't be fun to someone who isn't into that. For noobs I can definitely recommend Sacred Cards (also called DM7) which is also in that collection. Unlike most YGO games, it's a JRPG which follows the animes story. Short and easy but really fun.

About Forbidden Memories, you will either love it or hate it, there's not much inbetween. The story, music and art is great, but the mechanics are very flawed, which actually makes it so fun to people. You definitely need to read about good fusions and grinding methods or there's a 0% chance you can finish the game. Bookmark this brazilian website for drop rates: https://www.yugiohfm.com

Lol yeah, that's the exact kind of situation I'm trying to avoid. Glad I don't do what I used to and drop $100 on a Steam sale and end up playing none of the games.

Interesting, I'm still willing to play games I know that are jank to understand the process but I could see it being especially painful in a series I'm not familiar with. I will take a look at Sacred Cards if I do get the collection though. Sounds interesting.

Yeah, I've kind of observed it from a distance. For a while when I joined retroachievements it was pretty widely played. Also watched a long video talking about the random droprates. I know people get pretty autistic about it, just curious if you have to get autistic about it to enjoy it and given the Brazilian website you linked, the answer is probably.
