Sticks to the Anno formula that made the game great and added extra toys to play with. 1800 is solid too but deviates from the formula some while still feeling good. Haven't played the new one yet.Past that, I really like Timberborne too. Might not be what you're looking for but I think it's nice and chill and injects a little "uhoh" moments when the season changes. Can get overwhelming if you don't prepare for droughts or badtides but that's part of the fun.
