>>738160587You can thank Nintendo leaving the series high and dry outside of ports for 11 years before DKB. $70 was simply not seen as an acceptable pricetag to a lot of people for a series that's been out of commission. This was a game that probably would've benefited from an artificial delay to the holidays, giving more time to stretch out promoting it. A 3-month turnaround from reveal to release for a flagship game meant to almost be 3D Mario-tier was not sufficient. You can tell that they realized that on some level since they promoted it two months later in the general Direct and announced a demo.
Bananza seems like a fun game, but I'm not buying a switch 2 for it alone.

Bananza should have been a Switch title and Bananza 2 the Switch 2 launch title. Yes, I know it was having problems on the Switch but they should have scaled down and used it as a proof of concept game and Bananza 2 the real game.
