>>738173532The game didn’t need it because of a few reasons. Firstly, very easy on the eyes art with good camera angles. You could easily recognize everything on the screen, that’s not that easy to do. So you were unlikely to miss anything significant during your first pass through the area. And, everything is there for a reason. It’s a real no nonsense game. Very few of the assets had no purpose. Secondly, it did have a type of quest tracker, with navi. You could ask navi, and she would give you some advice. There’s definitely a few parts in the game where you can get lost as adult link. But, the inventory screen itself is another queue about where your next objective is. You could tell what medallion you’re missing by looking at the ui screen. You knew you were missing items if you had empty slots. Thats actually a unique way to do that type of thing, in what is essentially a massive open world game, where it would be easy to get lost.

You had to memorize some map layouts, because there’s a few sections where the walls and ground textures look exactly the same, and it does get somewhat disorienting where you might end up going back the way you came, and if you don’t recognize that as the place you started out, you’d end up actually like walking all the way back to the front area. But, given enough time in there you’d eventually just complete it no matter what. Because there’s nothing that actually is like too hard to figure out for anyone.
